This post includes some of the most popular Copper Brass Radiators that are still on the market and for sale on Radiator Express.  Given it's getting harder and harder to find them, we wanted to bring you an easy short list to help for any custom or OEM project you have coming up.  This series will be broken into chapters.  Now let's get started!!

Buick Copper Brass Radiators

Chapter 1:  "The 3 Row Original with taper"  SKU 218119

1966-1971 Buick / Cadillac / Chevrolet / Oldsmobile / Pontiac

We all love seeing a pristine Buick Electra.. she's original and pretty... and surprisingly bolstering a 3 row copper brass  radiator that's ready to do some serious engine cooling.

What is interesting about this 67-71 series of cars is the 3 row OEM radiator tapered.  It's passenger side included an oil cooler connection that was 12 inches apart on center with a tank width of 3.5 inches.  Moving over to the driver side, below the top radiator hose, the tank is only 2.75 thick.  It's imperative with this radiator to get one that has this taper.      The core on these items ran 28 3/8 x 17 and the item was a solid 2 inches thick.  If your original item happened to be 3.5 thick on BOTH sides.. we'll then that's the "4 row HD" radiator, which is still out there under SKU 218122.

One BIG pitfall on purchasing for these vehicles is thinking you are safe to upgrade to the 4 row.  If you have a 4 row stock - then GREAT, you are set.. but with the 3 row - the left or driver side will be too thick and not sit into the channel.  That modification is one heck of a headache.  Avoid  this Pitfall by measuring your radiator prior to purchases~!
