my neighbor emptied his rad. this morning. said he twisted the value under the car and now it won't go back in. Any ideas what went wrong? thanks for any help

He opened what we call a “pet cock” valve. They often are
factory tightened.. once someone forces one open, they usually strip out. We
suggest on all radiators that people drain from the lower hose connection
instead as its much safer.
That is an installer trick as the drains strip all the time and its non
warrantable.
Ultimately, you’ll need a new radiator if you can’t get it to
seal with some addition of Teflon tape etc.
